Les
Beaucamps School is situated in the centre of the island with extensive
sea and country views. There are currently 520 pupils on roll with a teaching
and support staff of 45 and the Headteacher is Mr Peter Le Cheminant.
Les Beaucamps Schools enjoys good facilities with designated areas for curriculum subjects and it is hoped that a new sports hall and swimming pool will be added to the facilities in the near future. The
school has a resident Youth Worker who provides both vocational training

Mare De Carteret Secondary School is located near the west coast of the
island and it offers first class facilities. There are currently 485 pupils
on roll with a teaching and support staff of 40 and the Headteacher is
Mr Philip White.
There are specialist areas for most subjects and English, Mathematics, Humanities, French and Music are taught in specifically equipped rooms. Outside
there are extensive playing fields including seven tennis courts and

school is situated on the outskirts of St Peter Port, the island's capital
town.
There are currently 420 pupils on roll with a teaching and support staff of 40 and the Headteacher is Mr Ken Wheeler. The
school has good facilities, with extensive outdoor areas and an outdoor
swimming pool. The school was also used as the pilot school for the

The
Grammar School is situated on the outskirts of St Peter Port and the accommodation
was purpose built in 1985. A new Sixth Form Centre will be opened in September
2005.
There are currently just over 1,000 pupils at the school, of which 400 are in the sixth form and there is a teaching and support staff of 95 and the Headteacher is Mr Dennis Balls. The
school offers a modern, pleasant and well resourced environment for
both staff and students. The Sixth Form provides a range of 26 AS and
A2 Level courses and pupils transfer from the other island secondary
schools to the Grammar School Sixth Form if they wish to undertake these
